With baby boy #4 arriving in February, we’ve spent the last several weeks preparing for his arrival. We spend a lot of time in the nursery (although he’ll sleep in our room for the first several months) mainly because it acts as our changing station, our napping station and a space where we can catch some peace and quiet in our hectic home!
This space officially became the “bug room” aka beetle nursery when we created this space for Otto in 2017, but it was in need of a 2021 update.
Before I get in to the latest updates, I’ve been dying to do a little trip down memory lane of this space. Here it is in 2016, before it became a nursery at all. This was our guest room!
2016 – THE GUEST ROOM
2017 – OTTO’S ROOM
And then in 2017, it became Otto’s nursery. This is when we added the beetle wallpaper and fun plaid FLOR tile carpet. Otto actually moved himself over into his brothers’ room over the summer, so this room was our obvious choice for our newest addition.
2021 – NURSERY FOR BABY #4
And here it is today, this time ready for baby boy #4! We kept all the foundational pieces (wallpaper, curtains, carpet, crib, bear lamp) but most everything else was swapped out. Some for functional reasons and others just for fun.
