If you’re reading this, you’re on my new website! I am so excited to share this with you—I have been long overdue for an online space to provide details about my design services, share my project Before and Afters, chat about fun trends and more. Welcome!
As many of you know, I started in the design world a decade ago as an influencer, writing DIY, home makeover and tutorial content for my [now defunct] site gohausgo.com. That business slowly transitioned to me picking up client work as I learned helping people uncover the beauty of their homes was a lot more rewarding than writing a DIY tutorial—ha!
And with that shift in vision, also came a much-needed update to my name, from Go Haus Go to Haus by Emily May. It was important to keep the foundation of the name but now with a more grown-up, design-oriented articulation of what I really do around here. Also, here’s a fun fact: My first website was a Tumblr account called “Haus Stuff”—baby steps people. 🙂
I want this site to be more than just a static business website–I want it to move and breathe and reflect all the design work I’m doing and design thoughts I’m thinking. You’ll see a new blog (I’ve missed writing!) combined with portfolio pages, my Instagram feed, access to a weekly newsletter, and of course a ton of Before and After photos. And I’ll still be posting away on Instagram (@HausByEmilyMay) and Facebook.
A huge thank you to Lizzy Dye, the branding guru that helped me untangle all the thoughts and visuals I had in my mind about what I wanted my new logo and “look” to be. And did so beautifully! You can find Lizzy at @designing_lizzy on Instagram.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
